Video for Cambridge children’s charity

An event 10 years in the making

I was invited to an event at Kings College, Cambridge for my involvement in creating a milestone video for Cambridge Acorn Project.

Cambridge Acorn Project is a charity offering therapeutic work with children and families, and they just celebrated their 10th anniversary. 🎉

From supporting one child to over 500 children and families. 🌳

In September 2024, I shot interviews with Matt Edge, Hannah Chapman, PhD, Kathryn Smythe, Shannon Barnard, Nina Rogers and Hannah Golding about their amazing work with the charity. 😃

(I've been busy cutting down 3 hours of footage into 5 minutes!) ✂️

October 2024 at Kings College, Cambridge, the edited video was played to an audience of volunteers, fundraisers and contributors. 👥

A great cause

It was just incredible to see how many people had worked and helped to reach this milestone.

I've learned so much over the last month about how serious this issue is.

📈 "Inequality is on the rise. There are many areas in Cambridgeshire that are in the 10-20% most deprived areas in the UK."

📊 "There are 14,000 children in Cambridgeshire alone who've experienced multiple adverse childhood experiences."

It really opened my eyes to why this service is needed so much, but also understanding the life-changing impact the people in that room have made.
