VIDEO TRAINING

Who is this for?

For Cambridge marketing teams who want to start making
in-house video content for their website or social media.

Get up to speed quick with an in-depth training session from a seasoned Cambridgeshire videographer in this half-day class.

Even if you’re recording with your phones, this session is for you! (Most companies start with this approach).

What happens in the session?

  • A woman presenting to a video camera in a brightly coloured room.

    Part 1: Video Essentials

We’ll dive into perfecting the basics of sound, lighting and camera.

  • A movie clapperboard with colourful stripes on the top.

    Part 2: Tech settings

Bust through the jargon. Frame rates, shutter speeds, resolutions… you’re all set up.

  • Rob Wagstaff recording video on a DSLR camera.

Part 3: Put it into action Pt1

We’ll record mock interviews in different fictional scenarios.

  • A woman smiling and holding a camera mounted on a stabiliser, standing outdoors at an event.

Part 4: Put it into action pt2

We’ll record mock events too, talking through where best to place cameras and mics.

  • Someone sat at a table explaining a concept to the room.

Part 5: Try it out and get feedback

You’ll be given homework (not mandatory!). Send your files to Rob and get in-depth feedback.

  • A professional DSLR camera.

    Plus: Hands-on with video kit

Throughout the session, you’ll get to try different types of cameras and microphones.
